Description

Let's discuss this year's One Book One Freeport main selection: The Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead. It won both the Pulitzer and National Book Award, as well as being an Oprah selection. Whitehead's sixth novel tells the alternate history story of a young woman escaping from slavery on a real underground railroad with tracks in tunnels.
