Program Description

Description

John Lynn traveled a thousand miles by canoe and 250 miles by
bicycle, from Redstone Fort in Pennsylvania to Forts Massac and
Kaskaskia in Illinois to Fort Sackville in Indiana, to follow the
route of George Rogers Clark and his men during their daring
Revolutionary War campaign to drive the British from their forts
on the western frontier and take possession of Kaskaskia,
Cahokia, and Vincennes for the Americans in 1778-79.

He will talk about and show pictures of his travel adventures, along with the history of the "Old Northwest Territory," now known as Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin, Michigan, and part of modern-day Minnesota, during the Revolutionary War period. Learn more about America during our 250th year anniversary as an independent nation.

NO REGISTRATION NECESSARY.
