Program Description

Description

Mary Rose from Veterans Memorial Hall and Museum in Rockford presents the fascinating history of the volunteers from Rockford and surrounding areas (including Freeport) who created and devoted their time and energies to the Women's Ambulance Safety Patrol during WWII. They inspired chapters to open across the country to keep the home front safe. Mary Rose will share the stories of many of these patriotic women. Take a trip back to the 1940s with us.
