Dr. Sammy Ahmed

Mr. Sammy Ahmed, an instructor of World Civilization and Politics at Highland Community
College, will discuss the geography, cultural landscapes, and dynamics of Native Americans in
the Great Lakes region. His presentation will address the unique and vibrant social and cultural
exchanges with respect to the fur trade and European trade. The talk will also cover the human
and social dynamics of a region from the world of the Native people.
