Program Description

Description

Project Gemini bridged the gap between the first United States toe-in-the-water efforts at manned space
exploration and President Kennedy's very ambitious goal of landing on the moon. Gemini was used to study
advanced operations in space that would be needed for the lunar voyages. Being the middle child, it is less
well remembered today despite its great importance.
